For a lack of creativity, I'll stick with "Nightglow" as the title of this image for now. I have such a hard time with titles.
Dorrie and I have been haunting the local high school in the evenings recently, letting the dog run on the baseball fields and looking for things to photograph. A couple days ago, we stumbled upon an overgrown field with random athletic equipment strewn about the area. There was an oddness that I liked about it so we returned last night with some ideas for some shots. Unfortunately, the landscape stylists shaved the field (that is, they mowed the grass) and the appeal for photographing the area was lost. I was disappointed.
On our way home, the sun had begun to set and the moon peeped through the clouds. I decided to wait around for awhile to see what would happen and Dorrie went home. I got lucky. The clouds started to move out and I was able to salvage the night with this shot and the two that will be posted over the next two days. There were more, actually, but it would be silly to post everything, wouldn't it.
I think the next two are much better than this one. We'll work our way up, then. Okay? Okay.
