We Have a Dog

405291949_fecdffcb33_m.jpgWe have a dog. His name is Cashin “Cash” Scott. He’s a retired racing greyhound that we adopted over the weekend after meeting him earlier in the week.

He’s huge, he’s lazy, and he gets along very well with the cats. He’s a bit thin right now, but we’re going to fatten him up a bit.

One interesting thing about retired racers is that their bloodline and his racing history is available online: pedigree | 60 races | stats.

    What a beauty! Can’t wait for him to meet Duke and Milan… (Duke has this crazy idea that he’s the fast dog.)

    My friend Heather from Austin and her husband regularly foster retired racing greyhounds. This is the same friend who often reminds me of you with her math nerdiness. You guys must be distantly related or something.

    Kudos to you two for adopting a greyhound. They are some of the sweetest dogs.
