Dorrie and I spent Memorial Day weekend working in the backyard. Our river rock garden is coming out, and going in is a plethora of mulch, plants, flowers, gardens and walking paths.

I started the summer-long project by getting the path and steps installed on the east (?) side of the house. The steps aren’t quite done yet; I still need to add a few timbers on one side of the path and add more gravel once the gravel that’s already there settles a bit.

This is my home office. This should give you an idea of how things have been the last two months. When have I have not been busy? Never.

You probably want to ask, “Mike, how do you get anything done in that office?”

If you were to ask, I would reply, “Well, you see that little spot of carpet under the table in the middle of the room? I work there. It’s nice.”

Actually, I haven’t been able to work in this room for quite some time now (obviously). The mess happened when I moved everything around so I could install the blinds.
